Louis is pleased to announce that he will take part in the Opera Nashville's Mary Ragland Emerging Artist Program from January 2026 to April 2026. There he will sing the role of Harry in La fanciulla del West, Police Sergeant and Count Almaviva (cover) in Il barbiere di siviglia.

Tenor, Louis Tiemann, hails from Maryland living in the Greater Baltimore area. Recently, he has appeared in Young Victorian Theatre Company's productions of Trial by Jury singing the role of Edwin and Ruddigore singing the role of Richard Dauntless under the baton of Ernie Green. At home in both operatic and choral repertoire, Louis has sung with The Handel Choir of Baltimore under Brian Bartoldus, Bach in Baltimore under Herb Dimmock and leads the tenor section at St. Joseph Parish in Cockeysville, MD under Dr. Lynn Trapp. Upcoming engagements include Mr. Upfold in Albert Herring with Opera Baltimore and Col. Fairfax in Yeomen of the Guard with Young Victorian Theatre Co.
Louis currently studies with Phillip Collister. He has also had the pleasure to work with Daniel Belcher, Joan Patenaude-Yarnell, Stephanie Blythe, Theresa Bickham, and Gran Wilson. Louis earned his Artist Diploma from William Jewell College in 2023, his Master in Voice Performance from Bard College Conservatory in 2021 and his Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Towson University in 2018.
Offstage, Louis enjoys playing guitar, diving into languages, exploring the world through a camera lens, and spending time with his cat, Romulo.
